Terms of Service

1. The Service

LasChat helps businesses manage customer conversations on WhatsApp using the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, including connecting a WhatsApp Business number, creating message templates and managing team access. Features may change as the Service develops.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and "you" includes that business.

3. Accounts

You may register with email and password or with Google sign-in. Keep your credentials secure, provide accurate information, and tell us promptly at the contact below about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

• You must comply with the WhatsApp Business Policy, WhatsApp Commerce Policy and Meta's terms.
• You must obtain valid opt-in consent before messaging any person, and honour opt-out requests promptly.
• No spam, unsolicited bulk messages, misleading content, or illegal, harmful, hateful or infringing content.
• No attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts.
• You must comply with applicable Indian law, including TRAI rules on commercial communications and the DPDP Act, 2023 for your customers' data.

Meta may restrict or ban numbers that breach its policies; LasMind is not responsible for such actions.

5. Meta charges

Meta charges for WhatsApp conversations and messages under its own pricing. You are responsible for all Meta charges incurred through your WhatsApp Business Account, whether billed by Meta directly or passed through.

6. Pricing

Pricing for LasChat plans will be announced. Before any paid plan applies to you, we will show the price and terms, and you will need to accept them. Applicable taxes are extra.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages (including Meta, Google or hosting providers) and events outside our control may affect availability.

8. Intellectual property

LasMind owns the Service, software, branding and content we provide. You keep ownership of your content and data, and grant us a limited licence to host and process it only to provide the Service. Do not use LasMind or LasChat trademarks without permission.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or Meta policies, if required by law, or to protect the Service or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LasMind is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, India.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
